I know P1705 means it's something to do with the tranny although I dont believe it to mean my tranny is shot although as of right now my computer will not allow the car to shift past 3rd gear (or at least at it's normal shifting point, i have yet to redline it to see if it will shift, and i doubt i will) and my car's dash will shut off unless i turn the headlights on, then i'll get my speed, tach, etc and D5 blinking.....i did a search and I only got 1 result with not a lot of answers so i was hoping someone else maybe had experience with this code or more answers, i have an apt on monday with the acura dealer although it's about 1 hour away and i'm not sure if i should tow it or drive it, so if i get more answers then maybe i'll actually know what to expect, thanks guys

Is is shifting at all or does it stay in 2nd gear? If it stays in 2nd gear, then the car is in limp mode to protect the tranny from further damage.

In any event, you'll probably need a new tranny.
