P1259 VTEC Malfunction

[SIZE=2][COLOR=DarkSlateBlue]

99' TL 3.2, 97k miles. Has had 60k service. Original Timing belt and Original Plugs.

I need some serious help with this problem.

I posted the OBD II and Oxygen sensor questions.

I just had the code pulled for my check engine light. It came back as P1259 VTEC Malfunction, open or short in VTEC Solenoid, open or short in VTEC pressure switch, wiring or ECM check codes as per the factory service manual for Honda that the tech at a local shop used for reference.

He cleared the code and it hasn't showed back up yet. I called Acura and they said without the engine light being on they couldn't do anything at this time. I dont want to wait for that to happen. I need to solve this problem now.

I first noticied that something was maybe wrong or going wrong about three weeks ago. During very hot days, only after the car has been sitting for a while. When I go to start it, it will not crank for like a second or two while turning the key. And then it will start up fine. And that wont happen for a while. Its very intermitent. And sometimes, under the same conditions, when I initially press the throttle or give it gas. It will have a slight hesitation. And after that initial hesitation, it wont do that again. This behavior is also intermittant.

As I said before, the Check Engine light hasn't came on again Yet.
The Car Does consume Alot more gas than before.

The Mechanic that pulled my code also noticied that I have a broken motor mount in the right side. Does the motor have to be jacked to replace this?

Please also note that my Transmission was totally replaced about 2 months ago....

Please read the copied links for more information on my problem. Thanks

Sounds like vapor lock. I thought there was a TSB on that a while back? Anyone remember
