Over-revved it in 2nd (SportShift)...

And hit the rev limiter HARD (passing a very obnoxious guy in an A4). I know I'm being paranoid but, should I be concerned about long term damage?

shouldn't be a problem if it's only once. That's what the rev limiter is there for.

Nothing like cleaning out the carbon once in a while. Don't worry. Shouldn't be a problem. If it had over 100,000 miles I might be a somewhat concerned.

10 miles or 100,000 miles. it doesnt make a difference. its there to keep ou from causing damage. all its doing is killing the spark to your engine.

I do this about once a week too. I keep thinking I am in my old Integra GSR, that redlined at ~8100 RPMs. I have not been able to tell by ear when to shift, it feels like at 6500 there is more room to go.

Exactly. Plus I'm getting used to dropping from 5th to 3rd in passing situations, but, in this case, I was in 4th and dropped to 2nd, redlined... The engine sounded pissed....

So which mean even our TL-P can beat Audi A4,right??....even the A4 3.0 one??

If TL-P can beat that,TL-S can do it for sure.....

but i would say Audi is not that slow.....even a 1.8T

3.0 are 220hp 221 torque....probably head to head with TL-P. An A6 3.2 (255hp) would be a nice challenge for the type s.
