Outside Temperature seems to be running warm.

Question: My outside thermometer temperature always seem to run 3 to 4 degrees warm. Is there a way to lower my temp. I know i can start to adjust my temp by pressing the two odometer buttons & holding them down. But what do you do after that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't know you could adjust the temperature reading.

Mine always reads high too. Sometimes as much as +10 degrees F.

Are you going looking at the outside temp display when your car is parked? You need to be moving atleast 19 mph for the thing to be accurate.

You can adjust it like you talked about before, Have the key in on position or something like that. Hold down the reset and trip button. Then the temp display should change so it's ether +2,+1,0,-1,-2 etc. The 0 is the default setting. If your display is higher, I believe you do -1,-2,-3 etc.

Don't quote me on this, I haven't adjusted my temp in awhile

With the car parked, turn the key on to the position that illuminates the temperature readout. Then, hold the two previously discussed buttons in (at the same time) until the temp goes blank and a series of numbers begin to scroll across. It should take about 10 seconds for this to happen. The numbers will be as follows: +3, +2, +1, 0, -1, -2, -3. Just let go of the two buttons when its reading the number of degrees you want to adjust the temp by. You can't adjust over 3 degrees either + or -.

I hope this is beneficial. Good luck.

thanks guys, that clears it up, like i said, i could get the temp to clear, but didn't know what to do after the clearing. So let me get this straight. i hold the 2 buttons down till it clears then continue to hold until i start getting that series of negative & positive numbers, then release the 2 buttons @ negetive 3, which is what i'm looking for?

What other thermometer are you using for an accurate temperature reading in order for you to conclude how much to change the TL's reading?
