Out with the old...in with the new
As most of you know, I sold my 99 TL on eBay a few weeks back for $4,050 with 273,500 miles; I have managed to get myself a new set of wheels.
I got a 99 Lexus GS 300 and so far I am happy. I cannot say I don't miss my tl though but the GS300 is a beast in its own terms, and seems to be roomier!
Here are some pics...

I just replaced the rear brake pads; as far as plans, priority right now is to get a tint. Second would be to get wheels asap before the KY Derby!
I might look into lowering it, because the ones I've seen lowered look the best.
Problem is all the Lexus forums I have ran into so far DO NOT COMPARE to Acurazine. I joined Clublexus dot com but the setup just sucks. I don't know, but I might have to steal ideas from this forum and see if they fit the GS 300. Oh well.

Nice car, and yes they are smooth and to me rather boring to drive just because it is so smooth. Nice car none the-less and look great slammed with some rims. Not really feeling the green glowing gauges tho.

the 2nd gen gs300 was one of the other car i was gonna get when iwas car shopping back then . it was between the gs300 or the tl . forced to get the tl since insurance would be cheaper . otherwise , woulda gotten one of these bad boys and off to clublexus i go . but haha , im just kidding .
nice pick up . at least those trannies are more reliable than the ones we have in our TL .

how much did u pick it up for? and the first thing you should do is a new borla exhaust system. i used to have a 2002 gs400 with full cat back borla and i loved the sound. the stock head unit is really powerfull and works perfectly for a sub set up. all you need is a single 10" and ur good. let me know if you need any help and join lextasy... its a lot better then clublexus

Thanks everybody for the compliments. Ride quality is terrific! Much better than my TL-P. But, they could have done a better job on the exhaust tone, especially from the inside.
Otherwise, it's a very smooth, quiet ride, and it moves when you give it some gas. The TL moved too but it felt better once you hit V-TEC. I would have got the GS400 but I drive a lot so I considered gas mileage too. So far no regrets.
I picked it up from Lexus of Louisville for $4,700 after fees and all, and it has 180k miles, a new car trade. I think it was a steal; they said they were gonna keep it for 7days then move it to auction. It's a one owner and seems to have always been garaged; timing belt/chain already taken care of. Looks like it was an older person who owned it coz it has those small concave mirrors stuck on the side mirrors and I don't know how to remove them without messing up. Interior is immaculate, thing is just the passenger headlight is faded.
I will post pics one of these days once I hook it up!
