I'm sorry this has nothing to do with our beloved TL...but I need some help and was wondering if members here can give me some advices.

I moved out of an apartment which i lived for 2 years, paid rent & utils on time everytime...when I left the place, i gave them a note 30 days in advance with my forwarding address, cleaned the apart like the way i moved in, return keys etc..moved out in good faith.

I had $100 deposit with them and I was told I'll get it back in 30 days...but now, after 2 months, I don't see anything. I tried to call them like 10 times and got a brush off comment like "we're working on it", "a girl who handle it is screwing up", "the owner will cut you a check next week", "give us your number and we will call you back".....I especially like the last line cuz I left them like 7 message and never got a single call back..

What to do now??? I moved to a diff. city now (2 hours way) so I can't do much from here..

 

even if you never get your deposit back, i would report their ass to the city...i don't think the police would be much help, but personally, i would do what i can to give them the bad rep they deserve so others don't go through what you are...and good luck getting your money back...
