Ordered LED light bulbs for dash cluster gauges but it do not fit

As you can see original bulb and LED bulb have completely different housing and LED bulb will not lock (not even close) in bulb hole. Is it this wrong order or what is going wrong? There wasn't picture of LED bulb at ebay.

Those look like size 74 LEDs for the cluster. Just take the old halogen bulb out of the base, and push in the LED into the old base.

^x2 pull halogen from the blue base and replace with led. Make sure it lights up before putting everything back together as LEDs sometimes need to be flipped 180°.

Is it any way to know before light on. I'm sure that LED bulb related to plastic housing is not matter as there are 4 copper strips inside housing. I checked I have continuity in bulb/housing set. I guess problem is when you put LED set into instrument panel.

In directions it said "These LEDs are polarised. If any do not work at first, rotate them 180 degrees." It do not say should bulb be rotated in plastic housing or should be bulb set (housing and bulb) be rotated in instrument panel.

It doesn't matter, You can rotate the housing 180 as well.

It is same thing like rotate bulb 180. I'm ok with it. Incandescent light can go either direction so no marks at bulb housing or instrument panel housing. Whatsoever.

Correct. Incandescent lights are not polarity-specific because it's simply a filament. LED's on the other hand = Light Emitting Diode. Diodes are polarity specific.

So what is with theory that LED lights need resistors to function properly?
How to Install Load Resistors for LED Turn Signal Lights: 6 Steps (with Pictures)
This is better explanation

So are Led bulbs reliable or not in car dash.

How much I gather so far it is not good idea put Led bulb in circuit that is designated for incandescent.
"Kalifornia drivers beware; Modifications of vehicles with components or designs that are not DOT stamped are not legal. Further, insurance companies can abandon coverage when/if an issue occurs if a vehicle is modified.
Vehicle Code: "26101. No person shall sell or offer for sale for use upon or as part of the equipment of a vehicle, nor shall any person use upon a vehicle, any device that is intended to modify the original design or performance of any lighting equipment, safety glazing material, or other device, unless the modifying device meets the provisions of Section 26104." (Lab testing, DOT approval)
There have been cases of a vehicle fire in a garage (BMW, front mod'ed LED angel lights in place); and AAA abandon coverage. The mod's need not be implicated in the fire; only their existence was necessary"

I will proceed with replacement of gauges bulbs wit LED as I spot other treads here it is done and people didn't have problem.

I guess engineering of circuit in this case allow switch to LED.

turn signals need Resistors, not dash bulbs. it's to up the resistance so the turn signal relay doesn't think the bulb is out and hyperflash

You're referring to the bulbs outside of the vehicle or the turn signal indicators in the gauge cluster?

My knowledge of electricity is just how much I learned in one college course but as I understand problem with Led is that in some case current can go wild. Case depend at circuit design if some resistor is in line. Evidently in this case it is OK as something else keep current in check. It is not always so. For example LED in clock is to bright as I understand from other tread here.

I would not go out of my way to install Led without dead gauge bulb that need replacement. When already have to replace bulb make sense spent 12$ and take 6 new LEDs.
