Did you get the CAI? Im planning on getting one in a few weeks and i found this site that you can get the AEM CAI and bypass valve for $217, free shipping not bad...AEM CAI Check it out...

yup i got an aem cai in red just to let u know im gettin it for 225 installed so if u look at that ur payin 217 and plus u have 2 get it installed uncless ur or someone u know is...if ur payin the 217 and then u have 2 go to a place and pay someone to install it then id say no its not a good deal but if its not gonna cost u anything 2 get it installled than thats a good deal but by any means good luck and ill let u know how it is when its in........

Is it to difficult for a DIY? I'm gonna order a CAI soon and would like to have an idea on the level of difficulty. I'm no mechanic, but I am mechanically inclined. I've done all the mods on my Bimmer minus suspension (didn't have the tools).

i have no idea when i went to order it the guy gave me a good price w install so i just figured id let him 2 do it if something goes wrong they installed it let em deal w it thats how i look at it i would go around to a couple aftermarket places and get a price if its not much more for the intake and the install go w that...but as far as doin it urself ask around the forum im sure someone has directions............

I got it yesterday got the AEM in red after watchin them put it in it didnt seem very hard acually took the guy longer to take out the existing stuff def worth it love the added sound durin acceleration............
