This has to be just about the funniest thread I've read on here.
^ I think jjashaa is onto something... Drive around until you find somebody that is talking on the phone and driving pretty close behind you. One good slam on the brakes and they'll be owning you a new rear end!

Ok. In the interest of actually helping you. I took some quick pics. I think the bottom piece is your best bet. It's held by 2 10MM bolts. They have plastic covers that pry down from the top. I have an 04 TL btw...but I'm fairly confident they didn't change the design of this. I think if you can get to this...you can loosen the bolts and remove them and then at worst, you'll be dealing with a broken plastic surround. That plastic pice that the bolts are hidden by is one big piece. But if you remove the bolts and yank up hard, I bet you can break it free.
Good luck, brother.

Just for reference...the top...and it just dawned on me that this might be in the way of removing the bolts when the trunk is closed.

Wow!
If it were me I would rent a pipe camera from your local rotor-rooter or plumbing supply! They also have those snake deals that can grab jewelry and other important items when they go down the pipe. You might get lucky and grab the latch release.
And if your really in trouble ask them about using a pipe bursting torpedo!

I don't think I heard anybody suggest this but, go to a body shop. They might have some tricks of their own for cars that are damaged. Ask for help or if you have to, pay a little bit for them to open it. It should cost less than getting a new trunk or replacing your solid gold subwoofer box.

not too hard to get to from the pass through in the back seat or removing the seat completely and then going over or around the Sub-box, Guess you didn't read where he has all ready removed or is going to remove the seat to get access to the inside of the trunk.....

Can you reach the the trunk lid hinges? Maybe disconnect them on both (or one) side then lift the lid at the edge where the rear window comes down???
Good Luck, otherwise a used trunk lid will run around $400.
Try www.car-part.com to search for one. i used it to get a rear spoiler, OEM used for $85. Worked perfect and even matches the car.

ok i cut the box, crawled through and got it open. managed to salved 80% of the box. got the acutator working fine. the only thing now is, if i hit the button on the inside of the door nothing happens (i put the steel cable back where it was but theres not really any tension)

ok the solenoid is now hooked up and key fob works. it was the part i disconnected. ill check the switch in the glove box, my friend was messing with that and i didnt think to make sure its on

right. the solenoid and cable both were disconnected. which stopped me from using the keyfob or door button. now both are back on, and the keyfob works, but the door button doesn't. ill check the button in the glovebox though

but yeah if the keyfob is working, then i would say for the door switch there is a very high chance that the glove box switch is just turned off then, cause the body control module/multiplexing unit can control the trunk, when you push the keyfob
