OMG just saw the 04 TL in person, looks very nice.

Pictures do not do it justice.

At the same time, I also saw a somewhat dirty Black one on the road and it was somewhat underwhelming in motion.

I think that lighter colours look better on it, and I think that the wheels need to have a lower offset for it to be striking from a distance.

But the interior is definately a notch above my 03 TLS!

Heard that the quality is down, maybe due to cost cutting.

Noting excites me in the '04 TL except one thing...the front dash (Gauges, Navi, Stereo). Other than that, I don't see anything special about it. I always get compliments on my '03 TLS, which IMO looks a billion x's better. I don't like that futuristic look on cars nowadays. :p

Actually, it's too early to tell about the quality of the new car, it's only been out for less than two months. My car is doing pretty well. The new model is far and away better in features than the older TL. If I had bought a 2002 TL-S in the first place, though, rather than a TL-P, I wouldn't have upgraded. The upgrade from my TL-P was well justified on power alone.

neuronbob, i have a 2003 TL-P. Now if I were to install comptech headers, TL-S intake manifold + CT icebox, vafc, exhaust, pullies would I win? I'm just trying to plan out what I want to do this year, and if I can't smoke you, i don't think it's worth it.

I think you'd come close with all those mods. Actually, you'd kick my butt because I can't shift . Either SS or manual.
