1999 - Transmission Problem?

Hi All,

I am new to this board. I own a Integra and very happy with
that. Thought of buying a pre-owned/used TL.
But I am hearing a lot about Transmission problems in TL.

Is it common in 1999 also? I love almost everything else
in TL. But I am not sure whether I should buy something
which has known problem.

Please give your suggestions.

Regards
K

P.S: Owner replaced the Transmission with new one in this specific car. (free of cost of course)

I have a '99 TL with about 68000 miles. I got it used last Christmas and I have had 0 problems with the car in any way. I think all the problems you are hearing about it are just from the people with problems...what I mean is, you dont hear about all the thousands of people with perfectly good cars, just the ones that mess up. I would take your time, get it looked at, listen to it when you drive, step on it and the shifting should still be smooth - mine is. Overall, you shouldnt have a problem, unless you can tell it was drivin like hell and abused.

Good luck

Haha, the way you drag your car.....I wouldn't be surprise at 4 replaced trans. My 99TL is still working great at 56k.

My '99 TL-P has 86,640 miles and running strong. Just needs an alignment check and a good ol' wash :p
