OMG...the damn dealer...again...*picS*

Guess what i find while i was planning to fill up the windshield fluid?...

I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS SCREW DRIVER TIlL NOW!!!!

what are the bastards at the dealer thinking when they are workin on our cars?!

i am more than sure that this screw driver is from the dealer while they were checking up on my headlights because some parts of it needed to be replaced....

my dealer has been giving me very bad service...
first they washed my car while its headlights were broken and open to moisture and water,...causing my hids to go out(and they will not replace it)
now i find a f ing screwdriver sittin on top of the engine cover?
what if this thing fell in? maybe messed up my car?!...

had to vent...
can u guys help me on how i should approach the dealer?
thanx

First of all any real mechanic would never use a craftsman screw driver.

Second i would just go back there and ask if anyone there lost a screw driver and tell em where u found it.

Hey Calgarian,
I'm surprised the screw driver remained in place while you were driving. Maybe it was touching the lining under the hood, thus holding it in place?

Anyway, since I go to the same dealer...now I'm a bit scared!
I do agree their service kinda sucks...especially the service advisor's attitude! However, I never had a problem with the mechanics work.

Also, as an aside note for other Canadians on this site...do any of you know if we also get the extended warranty on our transmissions? So far it seems like we don't, which doesn't make any sense because our transmissions came out of the same factory.

DUDE! how can you complain. I'd be going to my dealer everyday if they left tools for me.

When I had my maxima, the tech actually forgot to put the oil cap back on. Next 3 oil changes were free. I'd go back and complain.

Just goes to show that taking your car to a dealer isn't any better than going to a regular mechanic

well this is the second time ive been having problem with the dealer...
first they broke my hid by washing the car when the headlights were cracked open...now they wont replace it because ive been busy and did not have time to visit the dealer soon after...

now this screwdriver thing..

my plan is to..first take it to the dealer..and talk to their manager(i hear hes very hard to deal with according to some ppl from our local forum...)..hopefully he will be able to replace the hid(refund me on the bulbs, and make him pay for the ballast)...and also give me some free services or etc...

if talkin directly to him will not work i will ask him for the regional ddirectors number...etc...
i will talk to the higher powers and take this as far as i can...
stupid acura...:o

Your not going to go back and ***** about it are you? If you do, you'll do them a favor by giving back the screwdriver.......

Just print the picture, go to the dealer, ask the service manager to call the person that last serviced your ride. Ask that person where the screwdriver is... When he draws a blank, tell him it was on top of your engine and show them the picture. Also, check for red eye.... This appears like a typical stoner mistake...

The dealership forgot to put the fill plug for my tranny back in when I had the fluid changed. Well after driving about a thousand miles, I noticed that the hood wasn't sitting right. They left the plug right on the cowl under the hood, which wouldn't allow it to close flush. I checked and I lost a lot of fluid. I brought it back and they refilled it, and also documented that the tech forgot to put the plug in, so if I have a tranny failure, I can blame it on that.

I much rather take my car to a mechanic that owns his own shop rather than a dealership because they will pay more attention to what they do, since it's their livelihood.

People have no respect for others' property. It's just a fact of life. I kind of wish I had the knowledge and resources to do all work myself, since I know I would do it right and with caution.

On my old 626, I got new tires and coming back from the shop my car starting shaking badly and was very hard to steer. I pull over and what do I see.....only one lug nut holding the front driver side wheel in place and even that's loose! The guy put the lugs on by hand, and forgot to zap them with the gun when he went around my car! He was reprimanded, but not fired. Could have been really dangerous! Wheel had to be replaced.

CRAFTSMAN stuff isn't bad, for the casual tinkerer--it has a lifetime warranty. A good mechanic however, will use Snap-On or S&K. It's a professional pride thing. I have Craftsman tools and they are fine for occasional use, and if they break you get another one for free...

MY DEALER LITERALLY KEYED MY CAR!!!! ( *sigh* Keyes Acura) <---Sad coincidence on the name.

I get home to find out that my roof has been extremely scratched.

Looked like a 3 year old tryed to sketch something on my roof, except he wasnt using a crayoN!!!! Man my roof is so scratched...

Seems to me that the crappy piece of **** numbers they put on top of your car (w/ the magnets) scratched up my car. Thats the only explanation....

I just discovered the scratches. Do you think Acura will be honest and admit to ruining my roof. I dont know how they could expect me not to notice. Im short but not that short....

What do you guyz think I should do in this situation?

Did you claim it while you were still there? If you left and then claim it, they will deny everything. I don't about the dealer you took your car to, but here, they check for every scratches and damages before they take your keys. Good luck man.

yea...im kinda worried they will fuk me over...
but its okay, they just proved their stupidity by ordering me a new ballast for the hid...when all the sudden my hid started working again...
plus im sure they have the same set(brand and type) of tools so i'lllfind a way to mock them
