I added Polk Audio 6 1/2" MOMO component speakers (MMC6500) in the front doors. Pretty big magnet and even bigger baskets, so I had to cut the holes larger. Crutchfield says these speaker will fit with only an adapter, but that's hogwash. They won't fit and it's not even close.

I mounted the tweeters on the sail panels like most others.

Great sound. Much, MUCH better than the 5 1/4" Polk db's that I sent back, although it came at a price. I'm not running the stock HU, but a Blaupunkt DVD35 unit. The extra power seems to be enough, even though I'm sure a higher powered amp would be even better.

Now to figure out how to put a new subwoofer in the stock position. I don't want to put any boxes in my trunk, other than the sub amp itself. I want the speaker in the stock location.

i have the same speakers you have. Where did you mount the tweeters? What head unit are you pushing them with?
