I currently work 6 days a week (mon - sat) and I dont have the time to take my car into the dealership. So this sunday i went over to Quicklube and a friend of mine changed my oil and tranny fluid for 20 bucks.

Ok my car is a 2k TL-P with 32900. I just had my 30000mile service a few months ago at KEYES ACURA but this is the first time i ve had my car maintenanced outside of an acura dealership.

The problem is my maintenance light still comes on after my oilchange and trannyfluid over at quicklube. Im figuring the car still needs more maintenance besides an oil change and tranny fluid maybe???

Or does Acura do something to reset the maintenance light by messing with our ECU?

Please help.

look in the manual there is a sequence you do to reset the light. As long as you used Honda fluids it doesn't matter where you got it done.

Or you could do a search on "maintenance light" here and find it a lot easier!

Thanks I just checked my owners manual and it says to press the milage reset button and the one beneath it for ten seconds as you turn on your car. The next time I turned on my car the maintenance light was gone
