Hey all, I have a 2003 Acura TL with 173,000 miles. I noticed some bad leaks of oil around the engine. What would be leaking and how can I go about fixing it? I plan on cleaning out egr ports/valve and manifold so I figured I would check into fixing the oil leak around the engine. Thank you

 

If I had to guess, it's possible that the leak, in the picture above, is the front head valve cover gasket. #4 on the link below.

There could also be a secondary leak from the O-ring (#15 on the link below) located on the front head camshaft thrust cover assembly #6 on the same link.

Best guess is that the leak above may be associated with the O-ring (#17) on the inlet joint (#27) on the link below.
I think the inlet joint is made of plastic, not sure; therefore, it's possible that it could be cracked as well. Just throwing that out there.

An easy way to try and determine the origin of leaks is to hose down the area(s) with brake clean to clean-up the grime. Then observe either with the car running or over a period of time to see if one can pinpoint said leak.
