I jsut got an 03 Type S and it has a about 400 miles on it. Today When I pulled out of my garage I noticed oil was leaking. It was light brown fluid. What is going on I thought that Acura meant that it wasnt gonna screw up like these damn gm and ford craps.

 

Bring it back to the dealer and demand it to be fixed

 

There is a TSB concerning about engine oil leak.

 

Acura has a good reputation but that doesn't mean they're perfect. (Look at the trannies!!) ... I don't think you can find any product that is mass produced that doesn't have some products that come off the assembly line with defects.

Thats why there's a 4 year 50,000 mile warranty ... So you don't have to pay for any mistakes they made during manufacturing.

Mine seeped oil from the drainpan a bit up until the first oil change. It's never had that seepage since... Now at 17k miles.

 

I had sever engine oil leak ... lost oil presure at 3000 miles...

Resolution: new Engine lower-block replaced. (engine was rebuilt)

 

I had a mini oil leak but it was from the dealer mechanic not tightening up the oil cap STUPID
