my wife borrowed the car the other night. She came back telling me the check engine/vsa light was on as well as the exclamation inside the triangle light. I told her that the TL-S had a bit more power than her van and maybe since it was wet, she might have lost traction at which point the lights came on. She looked at me funny and just went on about her business.

Next day, I get in the car. Check engine light is on... car is running sort of lamish... I check the manual and follow proceedures and recommendations. Not being able to do further immediate troubleshooting, I get on I595W and all of a sudden, the VSA light as well as the triangle light come on. I place a call to Rick Case to have the car in to review an old paint problem and have them check out this christmas light dash I now have. Next thing I know, my car starts shifting gears at 6000 rpm and really really clunky too....

 

Sorry to hear it, but your tranny is toast! Get your car off the road ASAP. I wouldn't want to happy to you what I went through (car slamming into 2nd ~ 80mph causing me to loose control).

Hopefully your dealership will get you fixed up soon.
