Stopped by dealer today. He has chip samples for 2002 TL. There are two blues and one is very close the pix of last year's show car. The other blue is a little darker but not a dark blue. There was only copy of chips available for the general manager to place his advanced orders. I happened by at just the right time. I forgot to check the interior color for the blues. Will do so in next day or two.

The '02 TL-S colors my dealer showed me last week are as follows: black/ebony or parchment, blue/ebony, dark emerald pearl/parchment, silver/ebony, white/ebony or parchment. I can't remember the actual name of the blue, but it is a new color for '02. There a two new blues for '02--one of them is available only for the TL-S, the other only for the base TL.

A new color for the '02 base-only TL is a metallic graphite-like color (again, I can't remember it's official name.) It's nice--too bad it's not available on the TL-S.

Why oh why must they limit body colors to certain models? I wanna get a TL-S, and that graphite color sounds like the one I want... I mean the bodys are the same, damnit just dip them in the same vat already or what not...

It seems odd that they are only allowing people to get white w/ black if they order the Type S.
