official Acura news release: 2002 TL-S, CL,TL pricing and specs.
Acura announces prices for 2001 3.2CL, 2002 3.2TL, and 2002 3.2TL Type S
An entry-level Acura 3.2CL coupe will join the high-performance 3.2CL Type S this month. The 3.2CL features a 3.2 litre SOHC VTEC V6 with 225 horsepower, and standard features include wood-grained trim, leather heated seats, a power moonroof, automatic climate control and an in-dash 6-disc Bose CD/cassette player with 6 speakers. The 2001 3.2CL has a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $36,000 plus freight and PDI.
The 2002 3.2TL sedan, which goes on sale this spring, has a redesigned front-end with a more aggressive grille and new headlights, as well as revised badging, and redesigned taillights. New standard equipment includes driver's 2 position memory seats and mirrors, passenger side reverse tilt-down mirror, in-dash 6-disc Bose CD changer, new style 16" alloy wheels, fog lights and LATCH (lower anchor tethers for children). The 2002 3.2TL will have a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $37,000 plus freight and PDI.
Scheduled to go on sale this Spring is the new 2002 3.2TL Type S. With a dual-stage induction system, 24 valves and Acura's Variable Valve Timing and Electronic Lift Control (VTEC), the TL Type S boasts 260 horsepower - the highest output V6 in its class. The high-performance 3.2-litre engine also provides a maximum 232 lb.-ft. of torque between 3500 rpm and 5500 rpm for excellent mid-range acceleration.
In addition to its class-leading horsepower, the new 3.2TL Type-S also features a sport-tuned suspension, V-rated all-season high-performance tires on 17-inch alloy wheels, standard Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) system and an interior environment designed for driving enthusiasts.
The 2002 3.2TL Type S will have a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $41,000 plus freight and PDI.

The prices in the U.S. have always been higher, before taxes. Converting the Canadian prices to U.S. dollars will give you Americans a real deal. However, the marketing/sales gurus at Acura have always priced the U.S. vehicles appreciably higher than us Canucks. Oh, and by the way, Americans cannot come up here and purchase Canadian Acuras. Acura Canada is well aware of this potential loophole. I suppose you could try to buy a new "used" Acura from a friendly Canadian owner.

Damn...those prices are cheap. They'll obviously be jacked up 3 or 4k. I still love my tl although i overpayed. Can't wait till i trade it in.

The price for a 2002 TL is pretty good at $37k. My 2000 had a msrp of $35k. You get a lot more for the $2k difference. However, I could barely afford the one I bought so I don't envy the new one or wish to change to the new one. Besides, regardless, the current model is really nice already! There is always something newer!!!

for a type S i guess that's really fair.. considering it's only 4000 more than normal TL .. although when they first came out in 99 i remember them being only 35000
but still 41000 for a type s?? i got my 97 3.2TL for $40000, that was waay back when they were still made in japan...

Worse of all it's only $5000 more than my 2000 TL. But you get 6-CD, memoryseat, 260hp engine, 17's, VSA, and sports tuned suspension. Damn that's a good deal man...
Well, I guess it's time to put money down on the Bimmer.....
