OEM wheels look like ................

Shit. The clear is pealing and the aluminum is oxidizing.

Soooooooooooo i decided to break out the sand blaster and sander today.

And what i have so far. Now i need to decide if im going to strip the clear off the rest of the wheel, paint the inner and polish the rest or just paint them (seeing as they are only my winter wheels)???

Mine's the same way. I use them for winter only. I have 18's which I use in Spring Summer. The wheels still work great and no one's going to steal them.

Yea, but that requires more work. I sandblasted the edge pretty good. I should do what you recommended, but it all depends on how much ambition i have. I may end up polishing them

not unless they have seen near ten years and over 200k miles and have seen the amount of salt that our roads see.

wow talk about wear and tear haha

Looks like stock after you cleaned them up. I really don't like 99-01 stock wheels, they look weird. Where as the stock TL-P of years 02-03 had the 5 spokes. I'm more of a 5 spokes wheel guy than 6 or 7 spokes. That's why I'm buying either the 02-03 Type S wheels or the 02-03 TL-P wheels.

And plus mines don't look half as bad as yours but my right front passenger needs a overhaul!

CURB RASH FOR THE WIN!!!!! Haha

I could never stand the look of the 02-03 TL-P wheels. I always liked the type-s wheels, and always wished they had made the 99-01 TL-P wheel in a 18"

yea, but then i would have to buy different snow tires. These didnt cost me any thing as they came with the car. I have my RH C2s to make it look good in the summer. These are simply the winter beaters.
