Smile OBX Headers installed

I finally got my OBX headers installed today!!! Unfortunately I haven't been able to open her up today, I picked it up after work and there was just way too many cars on the road to even get past 40mph. I can definitely feel a difference when I let it sit in 2nd a little longer to rev into the higher RPM's, almost like a little kick...
So far I'm loving it. I'll keep you all posted on how it goes but for now...I recommend everyone get headers!!!

Good to hear that you like it.

I am still saving for the header. I am hoping the price for CT header will drop a few years down the road.

Cheers !!!

Ryan, read my post on TL Meets. No one showed last Wednesday. I guess everyone was afraid the cops would show up again.

Any resonance issues? Do you have the TYpeS or the TL-P?

I have a '99 with OBX headers, and no resonance issues whatsoever. I also replaced my stock mufflers with straight through mufflers and removed my airbox resonator. It actually sounds really good (even at idle). The difference in power is definitely noticeable, especially at higher speeds.

For those who don't have headers yet, what are you waiting for??

C'mon, golden! Another tease post?
You gotta go find some space and report back...The car was simply meant to have headers if nothing else. Makes a world of difference!

And drcookie, if you EVER think Comptech will lower anything, you're CRAZY! They would be more apt to raise the price than anything!

Peter, I hear NOTHING after getting the headers installed. I'm not even sure what I'm supposed to listen for so I listen for everything. Haven't heard anything yet. Oh, and I have a TL-S

The gains are virtually the same--most over 4400 rpm and peak at about 35hp or so at 6800 rpm...More hp gains than tq gains...The Comptech dyno isn't on their site anymore for the "S" so I don't haev a link to provide you...

The difference is more fittament and finish than anything...Some people with OBX claim mild resonance at idle or a lower RPM range but most claim not to hear anything...
