Well I recently turned 21.. on 4-20:devil:
One of my friends got me some OBX headers with the exhaust wrap as a present and now I need to find a place that can install them for me.. I am in Miami and I have only found 2 places.. one of them is charging $200 and the other is charging $275... is it supposed to cost this much for an install?? and if anyone of you guys have any particular places in South FLA that you can recommend please do so.. Thanx guys....

 

I wish my shop would charge me 200... I got quoted 300 to 400 dollars, for just the install!! I was pissed... Maybe they do work cheaper down there.

he's having the obx's installed today on his type-s! he's in miami, and found a shop!, i gave him some tips from my install. ask him how it went? i'm up north in boca. kman

plus he had to special weld it to my magnaflow catback custom exhaust! but 200/250 is not bad! remember some modifications do have to be done to the obx's to make them fit correctly. the major one is that the port collectors need to be bored out slightly, and you should clean the inside of the headers with brake fluid, and hot soapy water, there is mad gunk in there! blow out the excess water with pressurized air! ask kegrun how his install went and where in miami? i gave him the same info i just gave you! kman

 

I agree , OBx header installation is a pain, and it is work, the typical time it takes is roughly 3 hours sometimes less,
$200 is reasonable, but i charge my customers, $150. And somehow not all the obx headers fit right they all have fitment issues. Done coouple of them on the TL already.
