anyone know a good place to get tints in nyc, preferably brooklyn or queens?

 

i dont live in new york but i recommend getting mirror tints. i got mirror tints on my silver tl and it looks awesome. well it matches my cars color so i don't know about different colors.

 

i went to illusions on queens blvd a few years ago, they were ok but they did it in strips for the rear and they also outsourced they're tint jobs. a good place would be Doren sound & security on Jamaica in queens village, not sure of the address but it's around 180th street or so.

 

car spa on remsen and flatlands ask for Dexter, brooklyn.... they did a great job with my tints... 35% lifetime all around for $160.

 

ILLUSIONS is F'n horrible. They did my friends car and told me lifetime but then when I had a problem, I went back and the story changed... those bastards!! I would never spend a single dollar in that store again.

The best place in NY by all means is "The Tint Shop" in Great Neck, NY. They only do High End Cars, like BMW's, Audi's, Benz's, and their work is next to none. All my cars have been done there along with many others even on this forum from NY. Even Mr. Hyde, so that is the place I would recommend. Price will be about $190, w/ the discount, not that much more but for the job its worth it. He charges usually about $250.

 

Make sure they tint all the way to the end of the windows... it looks a lot better that way like stock. That is how my tints were done at the place i recommended.

P&A Paging In Queens Metropolitan Ave get the 20% Black color i think you will get sick of any other color like silver and it dont look classy in my opinion also don't ever let the car wash use that spray on the tint it will fad it over time

 

Yeah, I paid that price for my first 2 cars like 4 years ago, but those prices are no more. His prices went up since last year, so when i took my TL in, $190 was the price. I know Joe woudn't do that, cuz my cousin own a Limo Company and has a contract with him. So, I dont know when you went to get your tints done.

 

Possible , I have brought him like 20 cars also , i have known him for a while as well but i guess since he has that new location it is prob more rent , remember his old place Raj ? That place was Ghetto but shows as long as you do good work and have a good reputation - people will come to you.

 

Joe is prob the only guy i know that has HID's on his Astrovan.

 

Does he have rims on it too? I always wonder when I see people driving old minivans and things like that with rims on them - why bother? I think if I was given a minivan with rims as my only car to drive I would go out of my way to take them off...

 

Yes I remember the old place was run down looking and ghetto, compared the new place he's at right now. WHat a difference.

 

I got my tinting (35% black) done at Tints N Tunes in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. They charged me $175 for all 4 windows and the back window, they did a pretty good job, the tints are keeping up well so far with no complaints. They get a lot of people in and out of the shop so I just went with reputation and they have a pretty good one.

Bxscig, that's pretty close to where I am, what part of Brooklyn are you from? Maybe our rides have crossed paths in the past...

I'm located in Mill Basin. I got a '03 ABP Type-S with the OEM body kit, chrome Type-S license plate frames, and 35% black tint. I wonder if I've ever saw you in the streets or anything
