NY Alarm Installation Prices .. Is this fair?
#42
finally received the PM.
Has the price changed any, I know I am a little late with this. btw, i have a TSX which I think should be the same as the TL. Did you get any additional discounts for bringing in so many people? I also have a friend with an 05 G35c that is intersted.

Clifford 3.5 Matrix Responder
Hello guys,
I had an install done on my car a few days ago.
I got the Clifford 3.5 Matrix.
- Glass Sensor
- Back Up Battery Siren
- Pin Switches Hood (HID Theft)
- Pin Switches Trunk
- Windows (2 DEI 529T- FOUR Windows up only)
Below are the pics of the install. I have electrical experience, so I must glorify the install, he did an amazing job. Everything works perfectly. The install is very neat, and very much hidden.
Everything that is inside of the RED circle is what the installer did. Everything else dangling are my poor installations (fog lights, gauges..etc...etc) so please excuse that
WIRING and modules:
Glass Sensor (looks big in the pic, but it is not, and very much unnoticeable:
Red LED:

Vs.
Your car fuses melting with the possibility of your car catching on fire due to $hitty, unprofessional and sloppy installation work, which is what happened to me 2 months ago with another alarm place I had my autostart installed at back from 2 years ago.
My thoughts: Go with the extra tape

Where are your fuses located? Dont see they, I believe its better for them to be exposed, so you can changed them if they go bad. I have 2 fuses exposed on my setup. Taped around all the wires besides the fuses.

i am not trying to degrade on everyone, what i am trying to explain to you guys is you can't just be cheap on alarm install. how to you expect the installer to do a excellent job when you pay only a fair price. when it comes to products you can shop for a good deal because no matter where you bought it is the same, but when it comes to service you get what you pay for just like body work.
i used alot of tape on my install too, but looking at the picture, i could tell he tap lots of wires on the ignition harness, and finally just used lots of tape to cover cover his work, the end of tape is already not holding, this could tell me how much time he spent on the car. and is kinda weird to me that a shop use clear cable ties, normally we use black
as long as you guys are happy that's cool, i am just giving my honest opinion

Mike, I work next to a New York Choppers club...believe me, i would of notice the alarm going off nonestop....The alarm is great, tuned right; I did a number of every possible tests on it.
i havent look for the fuses yet, but i definitely will.
REV ,the work done is good quality. and how did you figure that the installer didnt take his time? also white/black ties thats already none sense.
I dont like be discouraged for something that I paid for, and the quality for price that I have accepted

Alright... Teknoking and REV-01 lets drop the issue. We recognize the difference of opinions. I just came back from the shop and saw Bxscig's install job and was extremely pleased. Both Teknoking and Bxscig waited for their cars and they can both vouch that the installer worked on their cars for 12 hours with all the options they wanted. So saying that the installer didn't spend that much time, is NOT TRUE, as they can vouch. And after speaking to Anthony(ItlnmuslNY) last night, he also seemed EXTREMELY happy with the service, installation and price he paid.
In one of the previous posts, on the 1st page Arn2000TL's alarm installation was shown, which looked like a plate of spaghetti with all the wiring. In my opinion that was a poor job, the jobs that I've seen on the last three cars didn't look anything like that, it was very clean!! White zip ties or Black Zip Ties, I mean how many times are people looking under their steering to care about color coordination there.. right? So to most of us, I'm sure it doesn't matter, but if someone wanted the black zipties, they could request for them and I'm sure the installer would have no problems in supplying black zip ties. I'm sure we can agree this shouldn't be the basis for weather it was a good install or a bad install.
The ultimate decision comes from the people who got their installations, and from what I gather, 3 out of 3 people, are extremely happy. I will ask Anthony to post up pictures of his install soon so people can take a look and see for themselves.
