Not true. Production of the NSX is still available. But like always, they are basically built to order for the USDM.

This might be the last year for the NSX, i'm not disputing that it is scheduled to be killed. But if you walked into an Acura dealership today you could still order one. It has NOT been killed yet.

So is Honda flat out giving up on performance cars? I also heard the S2000 was rapidly approaching the end of it's lifespan and was slated to be EOL'd as well. In addition Honda/Acura has killed Type-S for the Acura line...

If you read between the lines the future of performance oriented Honda automobiles seems to be drawing to a close!

Nissan is ramping up it's entire lineup (including the release of a new 450 hp Skyline) and Honda is dropping out of the race (literally).

All in all pretty sad!

The S2000 was a limited production vehicle from its introduction. No surprise there. Also, the current TL makes more power than the Type-S and i'm sure it will get a bump in power before the redesign. Also, have you seen the new Civic Si concept? Its basically a RSX-S on steroids. Looks awesome. Also, they are developing a 2.2L turbo motor. I woudn't count out Honda just yet...

no way.. honda is still in it. the accord coupe is sticking strong. the civic SI coupe is gonna definitly be making more sales than the happy lookin hatchback that's been just dropping in sales. so called "Si" that only had 160hp and costed alittle over 20k?? i dont know. but the SI coupe is gonna be boosting a good 200hp and cost less than the rsx.

with the CL and prelude gone, and the only real rwd sports car going for them is the S2000.. i really dont know what theyre gonna come up with. but hopefully honda is thinking of something right now..

Thanx for the responses.....i sure hope honda has not given up in the hp war because if that skyline is what everyone hopes it to be and acura does not have a car to at least compete with it i may have to take a trip to a nissan dealership.
Note: I still love my tl-s but its no rwd sub-super car
