Not braking properly..?????

Hello everyone,

i have just gotten my TL and noticed that after a car wash, the brakes dont seeem to bite like it normally does. I'm not sure what maybe the cause of this problem. I first thought it might have been my rotors being too smooth or perhaps bad brake pads. I took the car to a shop to have the brakes checked and replaced if needed. They told me the pads are still in great condition but the rotors may need to be resurfaced. The next time i got a car washed, the problem occured again. Any ideas of what the problem maybe???.....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..... thanx..

It is probably the amount of Surfactant (aka soap formula) that got between your rotors and pads. When it dries it will be OK. Try going to another car wash. Different Car Wash uses different types of surfactant for our wheels.
