Post NOS cools intake charge?

I read on Holley performance website that NOS has an intercooling effect on the intake charge. It says it cools intake temps by about 65-75 degrees. So that would mean that running a Short ram intake with NOS would be better than with a CAI seeing that the air has to travel a shorter distance to the throttle body. Anyone know?

I have a CAI and my NOS is injected close to the opening of the engine.

Pretty close to the throttle body

I'm not talking about the nitrous I'm talking about the intake air. BTW, what shot r u runing now and what, if any, modifications did u make to the engine for the NOS. Also, r u still using the stock plugs????

VTEC...what i mean is that I don't think it matters if you have a CAI or a short ram as long as your spray is close to the throttle body. I have not done any engine mods and I am running a 75 shot (dry)

Pretty much, your air will be cooled no matter where your nitrous is placed. If your running the CAI, your air will be even cooler, so you'll get more power.

With NOS you really dont get much power from the cooling, you get it from the Nitrous. If you stayed in chemistry [VTEC]TL, youd understand why.

The Nitrogen atom is connected to oxygen atom, with single bonds. Regular oxygen (O2) is connected to each other with double bonds. These single bonds are easier to break, which is why you have more power, since you have more single oxygen atoms floating around ready to react.

I know that N20 cause quicker fuel atomization therefore increasing cylinder pressures and temperature, thus producing increased power, smartass! I'm just saying that intake charge temp. is not as much a factor as without N20
