Nos?

Last nite driving around in the car..my friend noticed that the car hesitates a little b4 it goes...he was telling me to put a simple 50 shot of NOS to cure it...i am hesitant about this idea because i want to keep this car luxury...but the other side of me is telling me i should do it...after seeing my friend's IS stock wit a 200 shot hitting 12's with only torque converter and S-AFC...i'm starting to lean towards the idea of nitrous....anyone ever tried it on their TL? give me some suggestions you guys...

i wouldn't do it, since the TL have some great tanny that hold up real good. one of my firend have 00TL with 80shot NOS, then within two or three months his tranny give up, so he need to undo the NOS setup and bring back to Rick Case Acura to replace the tranmission. U can do a seach on [VTEC]TL.

There is a handfull of ppl with nos, on this TL forum and the CL forum...they usually go 50 shots and 75 shots max. The tranny problem is up in the air...most of the problems were with the Type-S.

I was planing to get it...it's fun to have and all, but after considering buying the kit about $450 off ebay, and another $50 for sparkplugs...i reconsidered because when and how often and i gonna use it...so saved teh 500 for somthing else.

Get a ZEX kit...most of the CL/TL use this kit...easy to install easy to remove.

Cool, glad you like your purchase. The TL is a really nice car, that is somewhat of a wolf hidden in sheeps clothing. A lot of people don't realize how nice it is. Enjoy it and lets us know what you do with it.

My friend was telling me to try a 50 shot...i could probably get the kit for 300 or so from some peepo....but that's still really down the line...if anything i mite call up level 10 and see if they have a transmission beef up kit and torque converter for my car....

the nos will not mess up your tranny... it WILL wear your enigne faster though... thats if you use it constantly. but if you plan on using it everyonce in a while or something then im sure you'll be fine... go with a 75 shot. jspec... email me @ tgocarlos0069@aol.com... there is someone selling a kit off of a 2000 tl... i will send you the link/

People save level 10 is $hit, guys from accordv6.com say that it's worthless. So get more information about level 10 before u go spending a couple $K on tranny/torque convertor upgrade

Well, no one in their right mind would use NOS for more then 15 sec. MAX....if you are stupid enough then you are getting urself into some deep $hit.

look at my sig...

I have VENOM 2000 nitrous. love it, 75 shot, 3000RPM at full throttle. 13.5 @ 104MPH, kill most V8's on the street or highway no problem. I got purge, remote bottle opener, quick release bracket, pressure gauge. the only thing I don't have is the bottle warmer. Mine's a 3 stage, love it. like someone mentioned above, the tranny problem is mostly the Type S... I haven't had any problems so far, 35000 miles and still going.
