So I found a guy who is parting out a wrecked 99 TL. I have a 03 TL and jumped on it when I found out he still had the lip kit on the car. Picked up the sides/rear for 180 total! While I was there I noticed the car had whole navi system. Since I already bought two items from me, he quoted me $200 for anything attached to the navi. I'm going back tomorrow to pick up the hdd,screen, that temp controll thing, the harness that plugs into it, brackets, and any screws. My question is, if I can take the whole harness, would it be plug and play? or should I just tap into the wires? Seems like its so time consuming to slice up the wires. What should I take and what would you do? thanks

 

If it's from a 99TL I'm pretty certain it will not work, they switched to DVD-based navigation discs for the 00+.

 

yeah I believe the one he had was the hard drive. So nobody has tried to swap out harness?
