Good luck. I've talked to several audio installer, including a very well-known one on this board, and he said it's a shitload of work.
Do you have all the wiring harnesses?

Alot of people have said they wanted to do it, but I don't think anyone has.
Where'd you get the parts???
There was this one guy on Ebay a few months back that was selling everything you needed.
Best of luck though. Don't forget the pics when you're done. I'd love to see the finished product.

yea i got like the complete wiring harness but it seems too much...im missing the ac control unit though that is above the radio so i gotta search for that...luckily i dont like the heat and its getting colder now.
i bought mine on ebay and the guy is selling me nething i need from it, like he forgot to give me the gps antenna and he is gonna send me that soon.
i plan on doing it myself but i hope that there is a plug inside the dash that is an extra one just for navi system so i wouldnt really have to replace the main wires.

Oh you thought wrong. The entire wiring harness either needs to be replaced with a navi harness or you will have to purchase the pins to add to the OEM non-navi connectors. There are a bunch of connectors that need to be tapped.
I got quoted $500 for install and then the installer looked at it, he said "Hell No".
There is no plug for the navi, it needs to be spliced into multiple places on several connectors.

Oh you are soooo in for a surprise.
Be prepared to rip the entire dash apart. And I'll assume the person who sold you the harness didn't label all the wires. Be prepared to spend several days just figuring out what wire goes where. It is definitely not a plug and play scenario.
Remember, there is no wiring harness for navi. It is all integrated into the car's wiring harness. Tons of plugs and wires that have to spliced, added, etc.
Be very careful, tap the wrong wire and you could be frying your electrical system.

ok attempted to change the wires... i saw plugs that would fit inside the navigation unit and i plugged it in... nothing happened so i figured i gotta plug the dvd rom drive in. i went lookin for the plug and i found one but something was plugged into it. i unplugged it and plugged in the dvd rom drive... still nothing happened. and i wondered where the other plugs was connected to so i played around with my car and it was connected to my door... so when i unplug it to plug in the dvd rom drive my seats memory and my windows dont work. so here is the problem..so my TL plugs for the door uses the same plugs for the navi. Even if i switch out wire harness i would not have a plug for my windows... i guess back this navigation goes onto ebay... =(
Good thing is that maybe i can sell the navi for a higher price and use the money to get an alpine one!
