a werid nose like motor mouths are dying, when i switch gears or go 1 to 3mph, i can hear it. its very strange, like the gears are dragging, i dont know how to describe it, has anyone had something like this before.

 

someone else asked about a barely audible noise from beneath the car at really slow speeds. Not sure who responded but they said it had something to do with brake fluid be pumped and that it was normal. I hear a sound, deep and raspy, when I move from park and having just turned on the car. I think they even said that it happens at 3mph. Mine does it twice.

 

It's normal. That buzz sound is from the anti-lock brakes building up pressure. I wondered about the same thing too but the helpful folks on this forum answered it for me. Mine does it twice as well.

Yeah, I also heard the short noise just when going from Reverse to Drive and start moving the car forward. I just have my new TLS for about a month. Very strange. Anybody know what that noise is?

 

Yup, it should make that noise twice. The first one is when you start rolling and the second is around 10-15mph. Like Axleback said... it's the ABS self-test. Nothing to worry about.

zoom - that noise seems to be exclusive to Acura.... the same thing happened on my '98 CL. It's like a clunk noise and it only happens when going from reverse to drive. One thing that I noticed is that it only makes the noise when on an incline or decline. When I shift from reverse to drive on a flat surface.. it's fine. Either way, it's normal....annoying, but normal.
