Noise in seat back

I've developed a rattle noise about half way up the back of the front passenger seat. It does not sound like a rubbing sound, rather more of a tick-like sound when I go over rough pavement. It sounds something like a crisp, Fall leaf bouncing off the windshield. It does not seem to matter if someone is sitting in the seat or not. If I lean the seat back as far as it will go and rest it down on the back seat, no more rattle. Anyone have something similar?

I have the same thing...it turned out to be the headrest "pegs" vibrating in the seat. Try holding the headrest as you're going down the road and see if that stops it.

Get used to holding on to the headrest...

Actually I haven't resolved my problem but I was thinking of rapping the headrest peg with teflon tape or something similar so that the peg fits somewhat tightly in the hole...right now there is a gap that allows it to vibrate.

are you sure it's the head rest? Try to take off the head rest and drive around and see if the sound still there....

...That's how I found my problem. I removed the headrest and all was fine...except it looked funny!
