noise problem solved

hey Edub and everyone. I am so happy as if I won $10 Mil, maybe not that much, cuz the dealer finally found the rattling noise at the back and fixed it. This was the fifth time, second dealer before the problem is solved. They are very nice and the shop foreman said,"They [the first dealer] didn't even try looking for the source of noise". Anyway, I'm glad it's over. Btw, for those who live around the BayArea, try Acura of Serramonte. They are da MAN

Why post and not tell us the source of the rattle?

OKOK, I will tell, I am just waiting for you guys to yell at me first. The foreman said it's the rear shelf (driver side in my case) was rubbing against the metal frame. That's it.

Do you know the streak of dealers: Lexus, Ford, Chrysler, etc close by the Target in Colma? If you keep driving up the road, there will be a Honda and Acura dealer next to the other (There is a big "H" sign). For the sevice department, you need to drive 100-200 ft up the the road. It's a service center for Mitsu, Nissan, Acura, etc.

Are you refering to the fuzzy deck to the left and right of the subwoofer?

I have a nasty rattle coming from somewhere back there too, but I think mine might be coming from the ceiling/rear windshield joint. Canyon Acura is dumbfounded about the problem. It acts up more in the heat though.

I had the same rattle from the same place. I just stick a small piece of cardboard between the shelf and the pillar. Voila!! You can't see the cardboard and it prevents the deck from rubbing and the noise is gone!

Good job. It's ain't matter what approach, so long as the problem is solved. Goaub probably has the same problem I had.
