What is the story on this color? When did it become available, and when was Dark Emerald discontinued?

 

whoa!! I didnt even notice it till i went to their website... Acura is weird about colors... i dunno why they change them when the car comes out.

 

yup... saw one at the dealer today while getting my recall work done.... thats the NASTIEST color i've seen on an Acura... (no offense to people who likes green.... but boy... that green's gotta go!!!)...

and since when does the WDP TL-S come with Parchment leather?? or am I on crack? I thought WDP only comes with Ebony for the TL-S w/ navi?

 

AFAIK, WDP always had both interior color options on the TL-S, same as the NBP. I know I test-drove a WDP/parchment and a NBP/ebony when I was first looking.

 

i'm still hoping that my car will come in the correct color...

 

So, what exactly does Noble Green looks like?? On Acura.Com, it looks like those fancy, neon green(well, a bit darker than that)used on Del Sol??? Hm.....

I have never like green cars myself.. Acura is smokin some good sh!t cuz that color is wacked..

When are they going to get a clue and start making a RED TL-S???

wow, i never noticed that I have never seen a red TL-S. I have only seen one Noble Green TL-S. I agree, red would be very nice

 

I would have loved to get a TL-S in a bright red (kinda like Nissan's Aztec Red of the early 90s). Definitely brighter than the Firepepper Red on the non Type-Ss. I'd also like to see it in the yellow Honda uses on the S2000.

Cuz personally i think that would look nasty!!!

Test drove a WDP w Parchment. And they wanted to sell me the one on the lot, but I wanted the Ebony cause of my 4 yr old. Both are nice. Acura kinda wack on their advertisements.

WDP/Ebony 02 TL-S

 

After this thread was started, I confirmed that my "preferenced" car would be DEP. Last confirmation was yesterday (9/4)

Today, the dealer calls and tells me that the car is in but in Noble Green!

For reference purposes - that dealer was Dan Dixon of Acura of the Desert. Priceline.com was the middleman in this failed deal for a 02 DEP TL-S with Navi. Agreed price was $30,700 (including destination) before locks and muds.

What an unfortunate experience for all involved...

 

Since you're in a big city your dealer should be able to trade with another dealer for a DEP. There's got to still be some out there.

 

So I now have a rare color huh?

 

But the dealer it seems has no incentive to make that effort.

 

I'll always look at one with regret of not pulling the trigger at a higher price now...

Okay JusMan I will trade my 3,000 miles new DEP w/o Nav (but WITH these cool chrome wheels) straight up for your NGM with Nav. You got the parchment interior, right?

 

I haven't actually seen the car, but I believe the color combo has the parchment.

You offer a pretty attractive deal, but I cannot pull the trigger on that either. I'm pretty much hooked on the navi system and w/o it, I cannot get there (although the wheels would be pretty cool).

Plus, I've been told that a new DEP could be had for only a couple of bucks more...hmmm, heard that line before? So, I'm still in a quandry. I did write to Acura to indicate my loyalty is being tested, hopefully they will do the right thing.

But maybe, just maybe we may be pm'ing soon...
