Arrow No More Fake Wood!

Man ever since I bought my TL almost 2 years ago, I wanted to get rid of that fake wood. I just didn't like it. Well finally I got my door pieces off, with Bitrum help and had them done to match my carbon fiber pieces along my console
The instructions are on the FAQ page
http://www.acura-tl.com/faq.htm#10c

here are the photos

What did you have to do to get the carbon fiber door & center panel pieces? Did you send them to someone and have them "reconditioned?" If you did, can you post the place and cost of such a mod.

I think it looks awesome..... a job well done!!

Looks nice but carbon fiber isn't my thing. You ever going to get a brushed aluminum kit made (please please please)?

great install...looks pretty flawless almost like it came like that. looks sporty alot more than the wood. the wood gives it more of a luxury feel to it or something. this looks good, nice job.

so snoook, any information on how this can be done? Are you going to be selling sets of CF interior? I have been waiting for a long time for someone to do it.

Hehe those pieces actually made me start looking into purchasing a Type S again... I really hated the wood that came with the ebony interior...

Thanks Guys!

I can get this done, but I am not sure if I am going to add it to the site. Here is why

The door pieces can not be bought, they have to be taken off and sent into me. Then I have to send them to the company that does the coating (and yes they do a Brushed Aluminum look as well) Ones they have it, it takes about 3 weeks. They are pretty backed up
This would cost like $75 a piece, regardless if it was 1 or 200 piece, they charge by the square inch....

Besides the emails I see coming after a week or so, of unhappy members because their car is a parts, and wanting to know how much longer....
and
Then, if someone gets this done, and for some reason they don't like the way they turn out, or it wasn't what they expected, then what ? I can't get you back your stock pieces, Acura doesn't sell them

So I think it is best I just do this for the couple members I said I would (because they already bought the BD and CF kits) and not add this to the site...

But atleast you have my instuctions and you can see how to do it yourself, and can maybe find a company locally that will do this...

My plan was shot down when I couldn't buy they pieces from Acura. I was going to buy all door pieces and center console pieces for the TL and CL and have them done in BA and CF, and add them to the site, and just have you return your stock pieces after install, but that didn't work out
