no heated driver's seat!!!!

So yesterday I get into my car and turn on my driver's heated seat on hi and 15 minutes later i realize that my butt is still cold...should i check a fuse or something or is my seat out? If it is out how much does it cost to get the element replaced? Anyone experience this?

I read online it is like $600 to fix at the dealer. I have a pass. side TL seat that has a working heater that I am looking to sell. If you buy, I will swap the heater for you. PM if interested.

I got mine replaced under warranty. It's like $90 for the heating element(#18), but I am not sure how much the labor is.

wow....that diagram looks pretty intimidating...but if the element is only 90 bucks, I'd much rather do it myself than spend the freakin 600 some bucks. Mine is out of warranty that's for sure...I have 99,088 miles as of arriving at work this morning...so yeah...I'm a little over the warranty. NJZprettyboy...definitely interested! Will it work with my driver's side though? I never had my driver back anyway cuz it didn't work from day one, but I think I may be used to it now....but yeah, check your pm box bro!

I think the connectors for the heaters are mirroed for left/right so you can't just swap em.... Also they are different for TypeS (but not too sure on this).

All three heating elements of mine had gone as well after 3 yrs... but I bought the ext. warranty ... so I guess it paid for itself.

Taking the dash apart is pretty simple. The heater connector probably came out of place a little bit causing it to not respond. Pop of the wood-trim liners and go into the center console, under the carpet there are two screws, take them out and go on from there until you get to the heater connector.
