No Heat

I never had a problem with the heat but if this had anything to do with I strated the car to check something in the morning and then someone came by and I forgot to turn off the car and it ran all day until the evening so no problem I turned the car off but the next day no heat and I seen the temp was on 90 so the day before the was the temp was on high running all day so can that be the problem or the heater core is bad just that fast thanks for any info

Coolant is good and I could be wrong but it seems when it's blowing It's like I smell something like when a electrical part burnt-out like I said earlier it did run on 90 for a lot of hours

Went under the hood and moved the valve on the hose back and forth going into the heater core and the heat is back
