Post Nissan Getting More Aggressive

Hey guys it's still only a Nissan, so our Acura's are still a step up, but you know what they are doing:

1. New Z car coming out soon
2. New Altima with 240HP coming out this year
3. New Maxima with 260HP coming out this year
4. Skyline coming in the near future to the US finally (Check out this month's car and Driver)
5. Infinity line will be beefed up to with the current new Q car and 260+HP I30T.

The thing I like about Nissan is that they release the latest info to the consumers and have a better marketing campaign and are making changes to compete. Acura seems to always hide or not let known the latest and greatest from us, so we don't know what exactly is going to happen in the future. Sure new 2003-2004 RL, but what is going to change New 2004 TL, what kind of revamping ? RSX, I still can't believe Acura is selling this small car, which is holding back the rest of the line. All rumors for now.

It's time to elevate the stature and brand name recognition of Acura. I hope someone out there realizes that.

Now that I ended up getting my TBird fixed... I may wait until the New Altima comes out... 240hp!! whee...
It's supposed to do 0-60 in 6.8-7.0 sec range for the AUTO.

And although it's not an acura, Nissan has nice products and good reliability...

Thumbs up

Nissan has great cars... and they becoming even better...
THe ONLY reason I did not get the Maxima is that they are very popular with thiefs...
And thet new Altima looks nice and if it has more room in the back it'll beat Accord and Camry in popularity...

Is the Max being redesigned this year or just getting a bigger motor?

Doopster same motor, more power..
It's a shame Nissan makes "quality" cars but are on the verge of going bankrupt(for some time now)

yelp, Nissan is improving and they're being very aggressive. but it's a good thing for consumers. the car makers compete, come out with better cars at lower price, why not?

Dude, I cannot agree more. Acura needs to streamline its lineup (i.e., market the Integra/RSX type as a Honda instead) before the Acura brand is taken seriously as a luxury maker.
