Acura TLS are SLOW
I dont think that is really going to help. If the the theives really wanted the ballast and the bulbs, they are gonna pry even harder and cause more damage to the body when something is locked in tighter.

I apologize................the part sold for my Accord is a hood switch (i.e. it sets off the alarm when opened without disarming).
Still could help at least............looking at the Nissan pic, I dont see how a thin bracket would help stop anyone from taking a headlight. Im kinda wondering if their part is just a hood switch thats armed with the alarm like the Accord.
Either way, here's the link to the instructions (part # is included there) http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/.../20016_01.html
I have no way of knowing if it will fit a TL (I wouldnt see why not, but I guess you never know). Ill email the place that lists it and see what they say.

Exactly....if the ballasts are still attached to the housing, they'll still take it. I never looked at how Max lights are mounted but, on our cars, I believe the hood doesn't even need to be opened. Just rip the cheesy bumper off and pry the lights off

Honda will have to mount the ballast at another remote location in order to stop this nonsense. The bumper skin itself could use just a few more metal brackets and a more secure anchoring point for the plastic bumper skin to be strong enough not to be able to be 'ripped off with our bare hands'!

crap......they probably won't make the bumper any stronger which will add unnecessary weight which will increase fuel mileage (C.A.F.E. and emissions reasons). Plus, they want to keep production costs low

I was at a local Nissan body shop couple months ago. There was a 03 Maxima with only 68 miles. The car looked perfect and that prompted me to ask the guy what's wrong with the car.
He showed me that someone try to "pop" out the headlight and yes, there were scratches everywhere near the housing. Apprently, maybe someone heard or spoted the thief and ran away. The car had major scraches, and headlight slightly popped out. The body shop guy's explaination is that the thief try to short wire the electrical system to cause the alarm to malfuction. If no one heard or spoted the thief, the headlights would've been removed. Thus, not so anti-thieft at all. The way I see it, if people want it, doesn't matter how hard it is, they will try to take it. I don't think there such thing as true "anti-theft", but just "delay-theft".
