I may put in a Type S alternator sometime just for some extra, but my capacitor is mounted in the ski hole area and it has a real time volt meter on it, so I can monitor the voltage going to the amps - and with the stereo up real loud and with the lights, AC, seats, etc. on, the voltage never drops below 12.8 - so the stock electrical system can power a pretty heafty stereo system easily.

I am close to this but still have a window of 400+ watts for the rest of the car, and I have a 1 farad (1000watt capacity) capacitor in line with the power to my amps, so they have some extra juice to tap into when the bass hits hard. and I dont have any dimming in the lights or anything (nothing to do with the capacitor). But our lights are only 35 watt bulbs, so doesnt take much to run them.
