Hello everyone... I'm a newbie here and plus I just bought a used 2000 TL last month... It has no mods done to it "yet", and I was wondering what are some easy mods to do that aren't expensive... I was also wondering about the wood trim kits, and how well they look in the TL's... I have been thinking about ordering the kit, but I'm not sure how well it will look... Does anyone have pics that I could see??
Thanks...
Thanks...
Congrats on your purchase! As for inexpensive mods... that depends on your idea of expensive. Maybe if you mentioned a dollar amount that you're willing to go up to then maybe more folks could help ya.

For handling, I would start with Sway bars.
For HP, I would add an intake
For looks - Tint the windows.

$600-$1000? NO PROBLEM
Tint (done already like u said)
Exaust
Intake
OBX Headers
UR or AEM pulleys
Exaust tips
Door sills
Clear headlights
6000k HID's
HID Fog light conversion (nice)
Sways
Springs
Glow gauges
Tranny intercooler
or you could just save up and get the supercharger

u can hold off on the icebox cuz its on backorder right now. headers wud run u close to a grand
if ure not gonna get an exhaust, the tips are an easy way to make ur car different.
also, tien coilovers wud be a pretty good investment

Sweet... First couple of things I was wanting to do was...
1. Glow Guages (Where is the best place that makes them and how hard are they to install??)
2. Wood Trim Kit (Does anybody have it done, cause I would like to see what it looks like??)
3. Fog Lights (This car didn't come with fogs... So what kind would be the best to get??)
and P.S. - Darkshear, just for my knowledge, how much is a supercharger for the TL??
Thanks

here are my gauges. i purchased these from ebay (www.procarparts.com) was selling them for $30 on auction...they're a bit more on their website...change colors and brightness...in the pic they're on the brightest setting
The wood trim kit is usually something you really like, or really dont. Personally i dont like it because i think there enough wood there already. You can find pics maby in the gallery on this site.
Tiens and body kit are good idea too but the kit might run more than 1k after paint and install...
The Glow gauges are nice, but they are a SOB to install and risky if youve never done it before....
UA5-TL, im right there with ya bro
