hello forum people just bought a 99 acura TL 3.5 and was cruising the www for info such as is provided thru this forum. just a lil info on myself i had a 2000 accord 4 door v6 that was done up right and sold it about 2 months ago and my new project is my acura hope to have it as nice as some of the ones ive seen on here! after my probation period i will try to before and in process pics!

only one thing! your car isn't a 3.5, it's a 3.2. the seller either lied to you, or you have a swapped beast!

btw, the TL is 3.2 stock, not 3.5...but you could do 3.5!

people have used parts from the j35.. and made frankenstein motors..


but to my knowledge, nobody has swapped an entire j35 into a 2nd Gen.
stock for stock its pointless really, just spend the money upgrading the 3.2

 

jcharged has a j35 but it has type s parts on it

if my project wasn't already so expensive, i'd work on that build myself. oh well.

 

I saw a 00 TL with an engine cover says 3.5, the guy took it from an Odyssey.

I hope he put the whole 3.5 engine from the Odyssey not just the engine cover, cause isn't that what they call rice..? I still don't understand why people do such, cause that would be like putting the Acura TL badging on a Honda Accord.

 

No, it was just the cover, he got a 3.5 swapped (cover) for like $20 lol
