Hi everybody,

I really like this site. I think this site is the most informative site that I've ever seen for Acura's matter, especially TL. My salute to the moderator

As a newbie, I'd like to ask you guys question on how to remove scratch on the black part near the metal rim in the gear box. The scratch is kinda deep...but not so deep . Any idea how to remove it? Thanks so much.

oh yeah, as for the scratch, I recommend a fine point black magic marker.

I don't think you'll be able to get it out, but you can try to cover it up.

Congrats and welcome.
As you can see, we have some comedians in here. You have to have a sense of humor in here or else you will not last.
About your question, no idea either. But I am sure someone will come up with a real answer for you.

Cool

Welcome, we were newbies not too long ago.

With respect to the scratch. I would suggest you take the car to a body repair shop. If the scratch is on the black parts that slide when you shift gears, it may be possible to have the body shop polish it out. Otherwise they should be able to get you a replacment piece just as they would if the car were damaged in a wreck.

Best of luck.

Welcome!!! At times, you might hear a guy named TIM (aka SNOOK)!!! He's the owner of the site...If you need mods, buy all your stuff from him.

As for your question...I also have a 1991 Toyota 4 Runner and everytime I scratched my black plastic pieces, I would use black shoe polish or dye to cover it up. After that, I would buff it out. It worked out for me. Godd Luck!

Welcome home! You might try a "Sharpie" extra fine marking pen (the manufacturer is Sanford). It works well on a lot of different materials/finishes. Good luck!

Wow....thanks everybody for the reply. I think I'd like to start with the black sharp point marker first.

Hey....Acura3200, I like your NEWBIE animation.
