How many of you buy mods from the black market? Or would you rather buy brand new? All the mods on my car I have bought on the black market. I saved tons of money buying from the black market.

Depends on what it is...... totally.

I have bought used DC headers for my 97 Prelude and they turned out fine and lasted as long as I had the car. But for something like light bulbs u gotto go new. Different oppinions for different circumstances.

 

All depends on condition and what it is. like there is no reason not to buy a set of used rims that are in good shape or something like a header. But it would be a waste for say like a set of used plugs that have like 20k on them. Id say as long as its in good condition, why not???

 

I had a little debate with a know it all friend of mine and we went back and forth about the subject.

 

I'd get new ones just to get peace in mind that the product would be in good shape.

 

in most cases i would def. go used... retail is such a bitch.. like, i paid $400 for my comptech headers, saving me $6-700 if i were to purchase it new.. and that right there is the price of some other nice mods i can do... only thing i purchased new off the top of my head is my UR pulley and Spoilers/kit...

 

I bought almost everything new, mainly because when I bought them, not many people had them. Last things I bought used were the Mugen cooling mods.

 

Used is fine with me. If i can't find it used, then i'd buy it new.

 

It really depends on the retail and used prices. For example, you get a Comptech exhaust for $900 new. If you go used, maybe $3-4-500. So if you got the money up front, buy the new one, and then when you sell it used, you end up only paying $4-5-600 or so to use the new mod.

If you go used in good shape for maybe $600 and resell it later in "worse" shape for maybe $300, you end up paying $300. So it really depends on the used prices and how good/lucky you are at finding used stuff.

 

First i'd look for used and in good condition,if i can't find what i'm looking for i would get new or five finger discount it! (j/k)l

 

I got my swaybars and exhaust used... saved a ton of $

 

if i could find what i wanted on the black market i would be all over it

 

so far my ww kit and ws2 are used. but the teins and intake are new. i got no problem buyin used, as long as its in good condition. Im lookin for some used rims now too..

 

I'd buy used if the item is still in good working order. Beats the hell out of full retail pricing.

Out of all the mods in my signature, I think the only thing I bought used were the exhaust tips. Everything else was brand spanking new. But I wait for good deals.
