Just heard from my local dealer. He said he just received word that his first shipment of 2002 Type S TL's is on it's way, and that they should receive them in a week or so. I've been in touch with this guy for a while, and he hasn't indicated any issues with back-ordering problems. MSRP number he's quoting is $31-32K.

It's at the top of my list of choices right now. Currently driving a 5SP Maxima SE. Lots of fun. I'm still considering a new SE as an option, but leaning towards the Type S.

I've been reading all of the great stuff everyone has been posting for the last several weeks. Thanks for all the info.

 

I haven't heard of anyone having a build date before 3/1/01. My build date is 3/3/01 and I ordered the TL about a month ago.

 

Does anyone other than me think it's odd that, with the TL-S arrival just a week or so away, we still can't get a firm confirmation on MSRP? Is this sort of shell-game common when a new model is introduced?
