Angry NEW TRANNY in and Still a Whistle!!

I just picked up my car from the dealership, they just swapped the tranny and ATF. Also 1 front engine mount and a power steering sensor for 600$. Thing is I reallt complianed about this whistle noise in 1st gear, thats what got me a new tranny.

As i was driving it home, the whistle noise is still there just not as loud as before but you can defanintly hear it. It happens on 1st gear during Accel/Decel. The new tranny is as smooth as butter and the car is much more responsive and powerful thing is why am i still hearing a whistle noise?

Is it normal? Do you other TL'ers hear a whislte noise during accel, that builds up as you accelerate and then once it hits second the noise is gone? The service tech told me that the whistle that I had before was from the tranny but why is the new one doing it too?

P.S- This is supposed to be the new tranny with "updated" parts i hope this one hold up!

I dont even notice it past 1st gear, it all quite after. I was just wondering if it was normal to hear this "Whistle" noise during acceleration.

I have a faint noise like that when in 1st. I don't hear it in any other gear. I had that noise in my first tranny too. I think it's a normal sound for our TL's

i noticed that whistle/whirring when i took mine for a test drive the first time, i figured it was a TL-S and thats why cuz my mom's TL-P didn't do it. but i think the new trannies do that. mine does it in first and thats it.

From the day I got my replacement tranny it whisteled while accelerating in 1st/2nd gear. I notice it in the summer with the windows down. That was 25K ago; I still think it does it now.

There is no CIA installed in my cat its all stock.. Sorry guys I was out all day cleaning my TL and crusing with it. It totally feels like a different car with the new tranny in... I just can't stop driving it. The whistle noise is still there but considering you guys said its normal i wouldn't worry about it.

My power steering sensor was cracked and the service tech said it needed replacemnt ASAP!! the next thing I have to do is get the CEL and TCS light off by replacing the EGR. dealer qouted me 350 but got it down to 275! Man, i never knew a Tl could feel like this since i bought it and it was on the verge of death for the tranny.

No more burps, farts, stuttering like a POS!
