I dropped my car off at Park Ave Acura today at 9 am. I got a Mitsubishi Lancer loaner from Enterprise paid by Park Ave or Acura. I just got the call from Vinny one of the service reps there and he said that I will be getting a new tranny... it will be about a week before I see my car again...hopefully it runs alot smoother w/ the new one. But at least Acura is stepping up to the plate and doing it under warranty.

Glad to hear it, and they also extended the warranty to 99TL so I'm a happy camper. Aww just a lancer..........you need the Evo.

I think I've either seen your post or someone else's post regarding the warranty extending to the 1999 3.2 TL's.

What are you basing your information on?
Do you have an official document or link to one that I can check out or did you just call your local Acura dealer and they told you?

I went to www.acura.com Owner's Link and all I could find was the original tranny warranty which doesn't cover the 1999 models...maybe that's not such a good place to look for it.

Please let me know...very curious about this!

yeah.. i didint think the 99's were covered... but im at 103k.. and downshifting hard from 2nd to 1st

lol you will like the pic i took this morinig! im putting a beating on the TSX acura let me have as a loaner just say 80 and second gear ill put it up later. But i have a question. What does it mean to have a triple flush on my tranny? why triple? thats what acura said they did to my tranny and that they fixed somethings on it. i felt like they are just bsing me but what do you guys think?

 

i got a RSX and man am i doggin it... but besides that, they said my TL is only gonna be in the shop for 3 days... mostly just waiting for the tranny to come in, b/c the service guy switches them out in only 4 hours.... I think someone's had a little practice....

 

When I brought it in....they didn't even question me...they were like we have had quite of few of these...we'll call u in 3-5 days Mr. Chan...I was like woah...ok...

 

Which dealer do you use in NJ ? I was in mine today cause my Navi is acting up, I brought up the Tranny thing, and he blew me off, damn bastard.....I got my car from Precision Acura in Princeton, but I work all over NJ, so I would go to wherever they treat you the best, I heard good things about Park Ave.....

 

the triple-flush is either BS or there was so much crap in your tranny that they had to run the machine for a while to clear it all out.

they might be too cheap to replace it.
