Just got my TL back from Keyes Acura in Van Nuys, Ca. They had to put in a new tranny. Took 2 weeks but it runs so much better now!!! There was a minor hesitating problem from the very beginning & I've had it about a year. I like my car a lot more now that it's running right. By the way, there were 5 other TL's there getting new trannys. There's probably gonna be a recall so you all should get it checked out.

 

I doubt that after hearing from several other dealerships. It would be very good if there was one though because that would mean that they know what the problem is.

They do know what the problem is, it's a bearing. They even had to stop production of TL's this year to correct it. My problem was very minor but it started shortly after I purchased the vehicle. Then, all of a sudden it just gave out- wouldn't go up my hill.

 

Blitz, Do you know what month they stopped production to correct the problem?

 

Not sure about the month. I'll ask the service rep next time I go in for service. I don't think it was that long ago though.

 

I don't know if you saw my post but I am getting a new tranny too. My tranny went out completely yesterday. I am very pissed considering my car is only 5 month old and I DO NOT drive hard.
