Hello to all.....I've just been reading all the posts the past few months and decided finally to jump into tl conversations.....
I'm 46 and work for Goodyear tires in the capacity of Asst store manager.
Am happily married to my wife for 18 yrs and have a 14 yr old son who's also quite interested in Acuras.
I gave my wife to drive the tl to work here in the LA area while I just drive an 89 legend.
I found the conversations in this list decent and caring and with moderation ......so I finally decided to join.
Likewise, I congratulate the founding and active members of this site who have orchestrated it to be a very helpful tool to tl owners

Thank you for a warm welcome.
Re tires, I 'll tell you my piece just from plain experience.
Price wise......Tire Rack still sells the lowest price. The store carries Goodyears , Dunlops and Kelly's in stock.
I replaced my 205/60R16V Michelins with a Goodyear Eagle GT+4 225/55R16V. They've been great am happy w them so far.

Michelin Pilots pressure per Unocal 76 mech

Different drivers......different habits......different preferences......
My tire just as any tire's sidewall would read most often "maximum permissible pressure" at 44psi.
My 16 in tire would read the same. My driving preference is a safe & comfortable ride so I just go 32psi. I may go up to 40 psi and I am still within the permissible limit but the ride is too harsh for me . Simple bumps and it jolts the whole car.
I am not in a rush to replace my ball joints/rubber bushings..
If any driver is happy w the effects and results of running 40-44 psi on his tires, then he should stick to it as long as he pays for the price of doing the same........I'm happy with mine.......at 32psi all year round.

Firestone tires.....

Firestone's loss is a Goodyear gain....
....yes we're really busy taking care of replacing those Explorers and Expeditions w Wilderness AT tires with Goodyear tires......and it's free.....
no charge .....no tricks.......most dealers have a long waitlist so if you have family, relatives and friends with the mentioned vehicles with those recalled tires just call 1-800-TIRES FAST or 800-GOODYEAR for the nearest retail store to take care of you.
