New Subs + Headlights = Blown Headlight?
So I just got done installing my 2 12 inch kickers, and i noticed one of my headlight (the HID ones) are out. I wont know for sure until i check tomorrow, but is this common? Do the headlight/bulbs vibrate and break? Or get unplugged?
Also I got 5k replacements. Is that a good color? Will it look more "stock" or more "modded" color?
Thank you

Hey Mineme, probably the bulb just died of shock ! "JK", they are subjected to normal everyday stress and road vibration, so my guess is that the one bulb wore out. The kicker's, if wired properly, should be completely independent of the headlights.
Have you noticed any signs of flickering or a discolored headlight ? Usually, as the lamps start to go bad, they act or look funky. You may want to inspect the connections and also look for any moisture, which would cause problems with the HID components.
Go ahead and put the new replacement bulb in the bad side first. If for some reason it doesn't work, then try swapping sides to make sure the "hid" inverter/ballast is working ok.
Some fellow 'Ziner's recommend pulling the front bumper cover off for better access to the headlamp components. Check the DIY sticky. By the way, it's advised to replace both sides at the same time. Use latex gloves to handle the bulbs with.
The 5k are an excellent choice for bright white lighting a tad better than the originals, but it won't be that "modded" blue ricer look.
